Reset to Beautiful - Never Ashamed Music Video
My Role: Videographer, Editor
Shooting the band's concert with limited equipment and editing the captured footage to tell a story of how the event unfolded.
Process:
Worked with simple tools and equipment to capture the band's experience. Upon arrival of the location, I proceeded to scout the area and plan my shots. I wanted to capture footage of the audience and fans before, during, and after the band's performance. Also, I made sure to record simple moments the band took (i.e. pre-performance prayer). I drew from my Olympic experience and the live concerts that were performed after medal ceremonies, as I tried to replicate certain shots.
I worked in Adobe Premier Pro CS4 during the editing process. After an initial viewing of all the footage, I noted down what I wanted to use and began placing most of the clips chronologically. The story of the video unfolds from before the doors open, to during the band's performance while interlaced with events that occurred before they went on stage. Since I had to use the studio recorded song and I also had footage of their live performance, I managed to synchronize some live clips to the recorded song. This was an extremely tedious task, but I feel it paid off well in the end.
